Steven "Steve" Pocza, 59, died at 4:44 a.m. April 23, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born April 22, 1949, in Budapest, Hungary, to Steve and Helen Pocza. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in South Bend, Ind. On Dec. 20, 1969, he married Martha Csatlos, who survives. Mr. Pocza retired in 2004 as a store manager for Kmart Corp. after more than 30 years. He was a wonderful example of love and was passionate about life. He loved spending time with his family. His hope was in Christ. Survivors also include two sons, Jim (Renee) Pocza, of Elida, and Steve (Yvonne) Pocza, of Columbus; three brothers, Zolton (Phyllis) Pocza and Arpad (Pam) Pocza, both of Sherman, Texas, and Frank (Beth) Pocza, of South Bend, Ind.; and seven grandchildren, Stevie Pocza, Ellen Pocza, Nick Pocza, Mike Pocza, Chris Pocza, Gary Pocza and Roy Pocza. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
