SOUTH BEND - Ian “Marc” Golden, 71, passed away unexpectedly at home August 18, 2016 after suffering a massive heart attack. He was born July 12, 1945 to the late Aaron and Sylvia (Katz) Golden. On July 8, 1979, Marc married his best friend, Ilene Golden. She survives him of South Bend. Also, left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Lisa Rouske and Amy (Eric) Klein, both of Chicago; son Michael (Heather) Golden of Indianapolis; three brothers: Edward (Drika) Golden of Kitterly, ME, Martin Katz of San Jose, CA and Larry (Carrie) Katz of Elkhart and seven grandchildren: Benjamin and Jeremy Rouske and Easton, Nia and Melaney Klein, and Gretchen and Rex Golden. Marc was loved by many and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a long time and faithful member of Sinai Synagogue. He will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 12:00PM at Sinai, 1102 E. LaSalle Ave. South Bend, IN 46617, with Rabbi Shoshana Feferman, from Temple Israel in Valparaiso, IN, officiating. Burial will follow at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family will “Sit Shiva” Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday from 7-9pm at the family residence.
