SOUTH BEND - Anna Kovacs, 87, of Darden Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, in her residence. Mrs. Kovacs was an employee of the former Studebaker Corpor-ation. She was born on Nov. 6, 1910, in South Bend, to Mike and Lena Gozdanovich, who both preceded her in death.
On Jan. 29, 1955, in South Bend, as Anna Gozdanovich, she married Joseph Kovacs, who survives.
She is also survived by two nieces, Anna Czajkowski of South Bend and Mary Bozsik of Ohio; and by numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Anna was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the William Penn Association. A Mass of Christian Burial will be performed at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, in the Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.
