Terrence L. Paczkowski

SOUTH BEND -Terrence Leo Paczkowski, 65, of South Bend, died Friday (May 20, 2011) at his home. He was born on May 19, 1946 in South Bend to Ernest & Virginia (Maciejwski) Paczkowski. On November 29, 1986 in South Bend, he married Cynthia L. Shulmier. She survives along with sons, Bryan and T.J. Paczkowski both of South Bend; daughters, Kelly (Jason) Vansickle and Kara Paczkowski both of South Bend. Also surviving are grandchildren, Trevor Jordan, Tylan Leo, Brea Lynn, Jalin Juelz; brothers, Ronald (Barbara) Page of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Paczkowski of St. Augustine, FL, Gregory Paczkowski of W. Palm Beach, FL; and a sister, Deborah (Victor) Popa of Lafayette, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, Timothy and a granddaughter, Mariah Lyn. Terrence graduated in 1964 from Washington High School in South Bend. He served for 4 years in the USMC during the Vietnam War as a paratrooper. Terrence was an avid Notre Dame Football fan, avid fisherman and was one of those guys who could build anything. Terrence worked for Forbes Typewriter when he was discharged for the service. He retired in 2006 from Target in South Bend where he worked for over 30 years. He lived life with a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and was always ready to tell a joke. He had a warm heart and he will be greatly missed by all, but will always be loved and remembered. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday (May 25, 2011). The time and place will be in Tuesday's obituary. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with the arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on May 23, 2011
