Mary Agnes Nawrocki, 85 of Salt Lake City, formerly of South Bend, Indiana, died February 24, 2004 after a brief illness. She was born December 16, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana to Stanley and Blanche Babinski. She married Edward J. Nawrocki on June 22, 1940 in South Bend. In South Bend she was a member of St. Hedwig Parish and the Polish Women's Alliance, the Golden Cluster, and Grandmother's Club. She came to Salt Lake City in January of 1994, where she was a member of St. Ann's parish and the Ladies Guild. She was a volunteer for the St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen and a member of the 49er's Club. She was active at the Columbus Senior Center and the Heritage Senior Center. She is survived by three children, Sharon (Mike) Kerikas of Salt Lake City; John (Judy) Nawrocki of Henderson, Nevada, and Tom Nawrocki of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, Julie, Eddie, and Stephen; great-grandson, Joe; sister, Virginia (Stanley) Galeziewski of South Bend, Indiana. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thaddeus "Ted" Babinski and a sister, Bernice Zwierzynski. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 450 E. 2100 S., where friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Committal: St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana.
