SOUTH BEND, IN - Mildred Kobylarek, 95, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 in Southfield Village. Mildred was born February 17, 1923 in South Bend to the late George and Martha (Kubacki) Gadowski. On July 20, 1946 Mildred married Edward Kobylarek, who preceded her in death in March of 1999. Mildred was also preceded in death by sisters, Eleanor Tyler & Lucille Barczykowski. Survivors of Mildred include a daughter, Nancy (James) Dukai of South Bend; grandson, Corey (Kari) Dukai of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Olivier & Evelyn Dukai; and a sister, Gertrude Vargyas of Wheaton, IL. Mildred worked for South Bend Supply for many years where she was an Administrative Assistant. She was a Parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church. Mildred enjoyed reading, and most of all loved being with her family. Services will be at a later date. St. Joseph Funeral Home is assisting the family.
