South Bend - Christopher “Chris” Erlacher, 45, passed away at 10:22 am on February 19, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1971 in South Bend, IN to Donald and Patricia (Streckfusz) Erlacher. Chris is survived by his mother, Patricia of Mishawaka; sisters, Cassandra Nowak of South Bend, and Karen McDowell of White Pigeon, MI; one niece, Mackenzie Price; two nephews, Alex Price and Michael Nowak; and good friend, Emory Gorbitz. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald. Chris worked alongside his father as a painter and maintenance man. He will be remembered for his talent of baking for his friends and family whom he loved dearly. Chris was always able to light up a room and enjoyed being with others. There are no public services planned at this time, per Chris’s wishes cremation has taken place.
