SOUTH BEND - Charles J. Hagye II, 74, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at his residence. Charles was born on June 30, 1939, in South Bend, IN, to the late Charles J. and Patricia (Vinnedge) I. On March 7, 1946, Charles married Janice McKenna. Charles and Janice would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 7, 2014 Charles is survived by his loving wife, Janice, and their 2 children, Vicky Lynn Hagye and Charles J. Hagye III, and his companion, Clarice Hayes, all from South Bend. Charles is also survived by a brother, Dennis Hagye, and a grandson, Markus Beck, and his girlfriend, Talia Martinez, along with 4 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law. Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Clydette Shirley. Charles was formerly employed at Allied Products as a laborer for 38 years until the company closed. He owned/operated his own garbage route in which all the family got involved in the pickups of customer's trash. He enjoyed playing cards and board games with the family, and was a frequent patron to the local bars and taverns in town. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12: noon with the memorial service at noon on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Interment of cremains will follow the service at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
