Timothy Charles “Tim” Sieczko passed away after a sudden illness surrounded by family at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the age of 48.
The beloved youngest brother of eight children born to Theresa and Joseph Sieczko, Tim was preceded in death by his father, Joseph. He is survived by his mother, Theresa Sieczko of Mishawaka, IN; sister, Christine Gierzynski (James) of Niles, MI; brother, Lawrence Sieczko (Kristine) of South Bend IN, brother, Michael Sieczko of Rancho Cordova, CA; brother, Robert Sieczko (Loretta) of New Carlisle, IN; sister, Judith Collins (John) of McKinney, TX; brother, Jeffrey Sieczko (Sandy Swanson) of Mishawaka, IN; and sister, Jeanette Sieczko (Rebecca Nickerson) of Niles, MI. Tim is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Patrick Gierzynski (LouAnn), Sharon Schuh, Adam Sieczko (Jaime), Emery Nicholas Sieczko, Trae Barnett, Adrian Sieczko (Veronika), Thomas Sieczko, Ashton Sieczko, Brittany Collins, Brianna Little (Philip), Amanda Collins, Stefanie Sieczko, and Brennon Sieczko. Tim is also survived by 9 grand nieces and nephews. Born on April 5th, 1967, Tim resided at Manley Countryside Manor in Dowagiac, MI, where he led a life of leisure surrounded by his matchbook cars, football posters & movie videos, and most importantly, anything relating to the “Dukes of Hazzard”. His favorite pastimes included coloring and putting picture puzzles together. Another favorite pastime was eating. He has most recently been famous for taking whole leftover pies home from family gatherings, which may or may not have been shared by his fellow group home friends and caretaker, Doreen Brown.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo and the Gift of Life Foundation for their exceptionally compassionate care. Visitation is 2-8pm Thursday, May 7, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 8, 2015 in the Funeral Home with Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
