MISHAWAKA - Theresa Sieczko, 88, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in the Signature Nursing Facility. Theresa was born Aug. 12, 1927, in South Bend, to the late Casimir and Helen (Marshall) Jankowski. On July 8, 1950, in South Bend, Theresa married her loving husband, Joseph Sieczko, who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1978. Theresa was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Sieczko of South Bend, and great-grandson, Scotie Sieczko of Fairfield, CA.Survivors of Theresa include her children, Christine (Jim) Gierzynski, Larry (Kris) Sieczko, Michael Sieczko, Robert (Lorie) Sieczko, Judy (John) Collins, Jeff (Sandy) Sieczko, and Jeanette (Becky) Sieczko, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Theresa was a member of the Polish Women's Alliance. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, collecting glassware from restaurants, and gardening. Most of all, she loved Sunday dinners, cooking for her family, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Theresa is 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, April 25, 2016, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
