South Bend-Stella Zultanski, 100, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in her home. Stella was born on September 6, 1917 in Poland to Joseph and Lottie (Polanin) Stempin. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Josephine Sutek, Caroline Boosi, Mary Porte, Irene Kaplon and William Stempin. Also daughter-in-law, Lois Zultanski; son-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Ide; grandson, Michael Zultanski and great grandson, Gabriel Ide. In 1935 she married Sylvester “Sal” Zultanski, who died in 2001. Surviving are her children, Patricia Ide of Greensboro, NC, Judy Borysiak and James Zultanski both of South Bend; sister, Veronica Pitlak. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Patrick (Mandy) Ide, Eric Ide, Suzanne Borysiak, Charles (Tara) Borysiak, Karen Borsodi and James D. Zultanski and 11 great grandchildren. Per Stella’s Request cremation will take place and there will be no public service. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
