Nee Grayckowski
November 13,1924 - December 20, 2020

Ohio - Malvina Grayckowski entered this world on November 13th 1924 in South Bend, IN. She left us as Mal Podlewski Wozniak on December 20th 2020 in Springboro, OH. A long life filled with joy and sorrow, a typical life. Mal was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her youth was filled with fun and hard work, two things she pursued through the balance of her life. At the age of 17 she started working in a toy factory. Then in 1942 she began doing war work riveting aircraft wings until there was no longer a need for them. Ultimately, she retired at age 65 from RACO Inc in South Bend, IN. During her working years she raised a family and with others cared for her parents and in-laws. She loved taking care of her home, yard, garden and cooking. A fabulous cook, her kieflies and Polish egg noodles are legendary. She also found time to pursue her creative talents in sewing, ceramics and crocheting. Mal loved to take bus trips where she saw a bit of the country and made many friends along the way. She could enter a room with 10 strangers and somehow get to know all of them in minutes. Two of her happiest experiences were raising her children, Kenny & Lynn, and marrying her second husband Spike Wozniak. Her two greatest sorrows were losing Kenny and Spike too soon. She is now with both of them and all of the other family and friends that preceded her in death. Mal loved angels, she collected and created all things angel. Her collection of angel lapel pins is extensive. She now resides with the angels and after 96 years on earth, she’s enjoying a well-deserved rest and the angels are taking care of her. Mal will be buried in South Bend, IN on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, IN.
