South Bend - Donald H. Michalski, 62, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital with his family by his side. Donnie was born August 11, 1956 in South Bend to Michael and Joan (Nowicki) Michalski. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Michalski and nephew, Jason Michalski. On November 7, 1992 in North Liberty, IN, Donnie married the love of his life, Josephine Catherine (Battisti) Michalski, who survives along with his mother, Joan Michalski; daughter, Lisa Michalski; sons, Micheal Rosa and Shawn Ferguson; grandchildren, Karissa Reilly, Jasmine & Angelina Ferguson, Gadge Rosa; great-granddaughter, Maisy Reilly; sister, Sandy Taylor; brothers, Bill (Cherie) Michalski, and Brian (Laurie) Michalski; eight nieces and nephews, and a great-nephew, Justin Taylor. Donnie worked as a Foreman with Castel Construction. He enjoyed fishing, going to movies with his wife, and trips to the casino. Donnie loved his family and animals, especially his dog Maya Sue. The family would like to thank Memorial Hospital Cardiology services and St. Vincent Hospital (on 86th St. in Indianapolis) for their compassion and candor. Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Service to begin at 1:00pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the funeral home or Crowd fund to assist with funeral expenses.
