MISHAWAKA, IN - Paul R. LaCluyze, 76, of Mishawaka, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Golden Living Center in Kokomo, Indiana. Paul was born on September 19, 1944 in South Bend to Robert and Elizabeth (Rodman) LaCluyze. Paul grew up in the South Bend area and graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1963. He attended Indiana University South Bend before going to the United States Navy. He was a member of the Seabee Battalion 128 and was stationed in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He married Mary K. Klein at St. Pius X Church in Granger, Indiana. Paul was a sheet worker and a member of the Local #20 for over 30 years. He enjoyed reading books, working puzzles, traveling, and attending Notre Dame football games. He is a member of St. Bavo's Church Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary LaCluyze; their sons, Matthew (Karen) LaCluyze of Southington, CT and Dr. Aaron (Dr. Jennifer) LaCluyze of Lansing, MI; their grandchildren, Katherine LaCluyze and Robert LaCluyze both of Southington, CT; his brother, Keith (Betty) LaCluyze of Mishawaka; his sister, Elizabeth LaCluyze of South Bend; sister-in-law, Patricia Klein of Greenville, SC; brother-in-law, Russ Fowler of Mishawaka, and six nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Susan Able and his sister-in-law, Angie Fowler. Due to the pandemic, a service will be held this summer at Cedar Grove Cemetery on the campus of Notre Dame at a later date with full Military Honors.
