Kenneth Dombrowski, 57, residing in South Bend, IN passed away 2:47AM Thursday , October 15, 2009 at his home. He worked for twenty years as controller at National Bank then at Louie's Tux Shop. Ken was born on September 28, 1952 in South Bend, IN to Ervin and Helen (Hyduk) Dombrowski and remained a lifelong resident. On October 13, 1973 in South Bend, IN he married Phyllis Hacker who survives. Along with his loving wife, Phyllis Dombrowksi, he is survived by two daughters, Christie (Mark) Colpaert and Cindy Dombrowski; one son, Curtis K. Dombrowski; two grandsons, Braden & Donovan; his father, Ervin Dombrowski; one sister, Judy Hartman and one brother, Tom Dombrowski all of South Bend. Ken served in the United States Army Reserves. He was past president of the South Bend Optimist Club, a member of St. Anthony's Golf League; and a past volunteer and board member for the March of Dimes. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Monday, October 19, 2009 at St. Anthony dePadua Catholic Church, 2120 E. Jefferson Blvd, South Bend. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 9-10:45AM Monday at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend where a rosary will be said at 9AM.
