SOUTH BEND - Michael Przestwor, 63, born in South Bend on Nov. 7, 1950, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, in Luftkin, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Cecelia (Gruber) Przest-wor. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Mishawaka, IN, where he lived most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sister and brother-in-law, George and Linda Wood; aunt, Margaret (Gruber) Redling; a nephew, a stepson, 2 grandsons, & many cousins from South Bend. Funeral services for Michael Bert Przestwor, 63, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John W. Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Zavalla Cemetery. Mr. Przestwor was born November 7, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana, to Bert Joseph Przestwor and Cecelia (Gruber) Przestwor, and died Monday, November 3, 2014 at his residence in Lufkin. He was retired from the United States Post Office and lived in Mishawaka, Indiana most of his life. Mr. Przestwor loved to read and study the Bible, enjoyed bicycling and travel. He was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church and had resided in Lufkin for six years. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Barbara Przestwor of Lufkin; stepson and daughter-in-law, Brandan and Toni Lovell of Lufkin; grandsons, Colby and Colton Lovell, both of Corrigan; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and George Wood of Peoria, Arizona; nephew, Wayne Harmon; and aunt, Marge Redling. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Shives, Dwan Coleman, Dan Johnson, Larry Caples, Curtis Haveman and Richard Graves. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904, the Zavalla Cemetery Fund, Box 211, Zavalla, Texas 75980, or the Harmony Hill Baptist Church Missions Fund, 2708 South Chestnut Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
