SOUTH BEND, IN - Richard Gerald Janiak, 82, of Mishawaka passed away at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, February 7 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born March 22, 1938 in Calumet City, IL to the late Gladys (Isban) and Jerome Janiak and lived most of his life in the Michiana area. On February 6, 1960 in South Bend he married Joyce M. Love, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Marsha Pucket (Duane) of Mishawaka; two sons, Mark Janiak (Michelle) of Mendota, IL and Michael Janiak (Robin) of Montgomery, IL; grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Tyler, Kyle, Bradley, and Logan Janiak, and Monica Ramirez; great-grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara Barnaby (Paul) of Indianapolis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Janiak. As per his wishes, Dick will be cremated and there will be a private family service. Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer North Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Service are assisting the family with arrangements.
