SOUTH BEND - Justine H. "Tina" Polack, 84, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 11:05 AM Sunday, April 6, 2008, in Hospice House. She was born on March 30, 1924, to the late Melchior and Hattie (Smigielski) Niemier in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident.On Monday, July 1, 1946, as Justine H. "Tina" Niemier, she married Lt. (jg) USN, Frank T. Polack of Mt. Carmel, PA, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. Tina is survived by her loving husband, Frank T. Polack; five daughters, Jacinta Polack of South Bend, IN, Jocelyn Polack Raybuck (Wayne) of Mishawaka, IN, Tina Marie Deka (Patrick) of South Bend, IN, Jan Marie Hyduk (Gregory) of South Bend, IN, Andrea (Peachie) Bedford (Fredrick) of Granger, IN; two sons, Marc Polack (Patricia) of Port Huron, MI, and Christian Polack (Veronica) of South Bend, IN; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Niemier (Marcella) and Frank Niemier (Bonnie), both of South Bend, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday, April 10, 2008, in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame, IN, where friends and family may visit from 8:00 to 9:20 AM. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
