Robert G. Sandefur, 71, of Mishawaka, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, in his home. Bob was born in Mishawaka on January 31, 1951, to the late Cecil and Leah “Marie” (Stanage) Sandefur. On September 5, 1969, he married the love of his life, Diana Evans. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diana; sons, Joseph (Heather Visari) Sandefur, Adam (Cyndi) Sandefur, Nick Sandefur and Jeremy “Hubba” Sandefur; grandchildren, Evan, Garrett, Gunnar and Edward Sandefur, Kammi and Darrick Dustin and Kaylan O’Connell; sister, Beverly Holderman; brothers, Fred (Dee) Sandefur and Lucky (Cheryl) Sandefur; bonus son, Ryan (Tammy) Dustin; and mother-in-law, Irene Evans. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Marie; sisters, Carolyne Sandefur, Thelma England, Edith Marlene Wittner, Pearl Johnson, Gloria Dunn and Connie Boyle; and brothers, Hubert Sandefur and Chester Sandefur. Bob worked for the City of Mishawaka Sewer Dept for over 30 years where he was the supervisor. Bob loved watching his sons and grandsons play football and wrestle. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Pirate’s Cove and DJing karaoke. Lastly, as Bob would say or sing that he is “going up to the spirit in the sky”. Visitation will be 2 pm-5 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544 with a funeral service to begin at 5 pm.
