South Bend - Charlotte Cygirt, 80, passed away on Tuesday. Charlotte was born October 15, 1940 in Greenock, Scotland to the late Charles and Mary (Reilly) Clarke. She was born and raised in Scotland, then moved to the U.S. in 1963 after meeting her husband while he was stationed in Scotland while serving in the Navy. Charlotte married her devoted husband on September 14, 1963. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2020. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Esther Clarke. Left to cherish Charlotte’s memory are her sons, Irvin (Dianna) Cygirt, III, and Mark (Angela) Cygirt, and, grandsons, Connor & Collin Cygirt. Charlotte loved her family, especially her grandsons. She cherished being a grandmother. The family will always remember the family traditions Charlotte created and will miss her proud Scottish Heritage she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
