ELKHART - Edward A. Chambers Sr., 86, of South Bend, passed away Friday, December 23rd, at Elkhart Hospice House. Edward was born on August 13, 1930 in South Bend to the late Edward and Frances (Olejniczak) Chambers. He is survived by his daughter, Regeina (Gary) Goodrich of Osceola, his son, Edward A. Chambers Jr. of Buchanan, MI, and his grandson, Michael Edward Goodrich also of Osceola. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Chambers, one brother, and one sister. Mr. Chambers was a South Bend native and in his early teens, he moved to Wisconsin with his family to work on a dairy farm until his early twenties. After moving back to South Bend, he worked for Honeywell and later retired as a strut and aircraft wheel painter. Elkhart Cremation Services are entrusted with Mr. Chambers' arrangements.
