Nancy E. DeWispelaere

Nancy E. DeWispelaere. 77, of 55993 Quince Rd. died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. DeWispelaere was born Nov. 7, 1911 in Imperial, Calif, and had lived in South Bene for 60 years, coming from New Mexico. In 1929 in Silver City, N.M., as Nancy Toney, she married Charles F. Coughlin. He died Nov. 3, 1951. On Aug. 23, 1952, in Michigan City, she married John H. DeWispelaere. He died Feb. 13, 1982. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Drzewiecki and Nancy Benjamin, both of South Bend; three sons, Daniel Coughlin and Michael Coughlin, both of South Bend and James Coughlin of Kalamazoo; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Lane of Deming, N.M., and Alda Loney Gaines of Santa Ana, Calif.Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Jan. 23, 1989.
