Mrs. Nancy E. Kosowski, 67, of South Bend, and formerly of La Porte, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at 2 a.m. at her home. She was born Oct. 15, 1940, in La Porte to William and Helen (Sheriff) Stoffer, and lived in South Bend for three years, coming from La Porte. Mrs. Kosowski had been a bookkeeper for 22 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She loved needlepoint, crocheting and cooking. She loved her family and spending time with them. Surviving are three daughters, Kathy (Doug) Walker of La Porte, Lynn (Doug) Andrews of Argos, Ind., and Tricia (Bill) Giesler of Rolling Prairie; two sons, Louis Jr. (Rita) of South Bend and Brian of La Porte; seven grandchildren; four great-randchildren; and three brothers, Richard and William Stoffer, both of Ohio and Paul Stoffer of Delaware. Her parents preceded her in death. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, La Porte, with Rev. Joseph Angotti officiating. Friends may call at Haverstock Funeral Home, La Porte, Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 5 p.m.; and Monday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte.
