NEW CARLISLE - Edward F. Druzbik Jr., 82, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Fountainview Terrace in LaPorte, IN. He was born on March 26, 1934, in Lackawanna, NY, to the late Edward and Frances (Kaminski) Druzbik. On August 5, 1967, he married Lorraine Pettibone, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Joann Stainko of New Carlisle, IN; one son, Daniel (Susan) Dzierba of Chesterton, IN; four grandchildren, Scott (Kathy) Dzierba of Burns Harbor, IN, Chad (Genelle) Dzierba of Chesterton, IN, Michael (Christy) Dzierba of Chesterton, IN, and George (Allison) Stainko, Jr. of Goshen, IN; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Dzierba and Chad Dzierba, Jr.; and one brother, Daniel (Zora) Druzbik of Lackawanna, NY. Along with his parents, Edward was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Dzierba; one grandson, Kyle Cuma; and his sister. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. EST in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle, IN, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee, IN. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Michigan City, IN. Edward was a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing, and was known to be a “master cook,” specializing in baking and grilling.
