GREENWOOD - Juanita E. (Rupley) Bratina, 93, of Greenwood, passed away on January 11, 2017. She was born on October 14, 1923, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Emanuel and Hilda Rupley. Juanita married James Bratina Sr. on June 7, 1941; he preceded her in death on November 22, 2011. Juanita enjoyed knitting, sewing, and while living in Florida she enjoyed going to the recreation center and painting on china and ceramics, she could also play the organ. Juanita is survived by her son, James E. (Carol) Bratina; five grandchildren, Thomas (Leigh), Anthony, Jason (Angela), Jordan, and Julie (Steve) Sidhom; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Georgia Inman, Marceline Inman, Eldean Rupley and Mercedes Frank.Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Bratina; and a son, Charles W. Bratina.A graveside service for Juanita will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, January 14, 2017, in the chapel at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Road, Granger, IN 46530.
