Ted and Pat (Sroda) Strychalski were married on Saturday, September 27, 1947 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Bend. Ted was employed by Studebakers of South Bend and retired from the South Bend Community School Corp. Pat worked for the Associates and retired from the South Bend Tribune. Ted & Pat have 2 children, Bonnie of South Bend and Ken of Cassopolis, MI. Ted & Pat now reside together at Healthwin Specialized Care in South Bend. Happy 68th Mom & Dad!! SOUTH BEND, IN - Patricia J. “Pat” Strychalski, 93, of South Bend, passed away on Monday November 19, 2018, at Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. She was born on February 20, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Casimer and Pearl (Marszalkowski) Sroda. On September 27, 1947, as Pat Sroda, she married Thaddeus “Ted” Strychalski, who preceded her in death on September 25, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Strychalski. Pat is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Moore of South Bend, her granddaughter, Meghan Moore, her son, Kenneth (Karen) Strychalski of Cassopolis, MI, and by a brother-in-law, Raymond (Mary) Strychalski of Atlanta, GA. She was a 1947 graduate of South Bend Catholic High School and Parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She worked for the South Bend Tribune for 10 years and for Emmco Insurance Co. for three years. Pat loved to garden and grow marigolds. She loved covered bridges and was a member of the Covered Bridge Society in Pennsylvania. She also collected post cards. A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home Chapel, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer and Dementia Services of St. Joseph County or to Healthwin Specialized Care Facility.
