John S. Konopinski, aged 43, of 1320 West Indiana Avenue, Elkhart IN, formerly of South Bend, died at 10:30pm Thursday in his residence.
He was born in South Bend January 1, 1907, and lived here until two months ago. He was employed by the Schultz Trailer Company in Elkhart. He drove a taxicab in South Bend. He married Mrs. Louise Stansbury, who survives with a son, Donald J., at home, a stepson, Gary Stansbury, at home; seven brothers, Edward, Leo, Donald, Theodore and James, all of South Bend; Louis of Dowagiac, MI, and Bert of Lakeville, this county; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Olivier, Mrs. Dorothy Kesner and Mrs. Margaret Bogess, all of South Bend; a half sister, Mrs. Katherine Muszynski and a half brother, Frank, both of South Bend. His body is in the Hay Funeral Home here.
