SOUTH BEND - Evelyn T. Hannah, 84, passed away at 9:45 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2014, in the Elkhart Hospice House. Evelyn was born August 20, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Theodore and Bernice (Janiszewski) Korpal. On September 22, 1962, in South Bend, Evelyn married Clifford R. Hannah, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2012. Survivors include daughters, Christine (Bill) Heavner of Fremont, OH, and Geraldine (Bill) Frame of South Bend; son, Michael Melton of Lakeville; granddaughters, Jessica (Russ) Kiser, Amy Grannan and Melanie Godden; great-grand-children, Kole, Cody and Zach; and sisters, Gerry (Alex) Udvardy of South Bend and Lori (Jerry) Sobczak of Noblesville, IN. Evelyn retired from South Bend Plastics. She enjoyed spending time at her lake cottage and playing cards with her grandchildren. Gin Rummy was her favorite game. St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family. There will be no service for Evelyn; however, memorial contributions may be made to Elkhart Hospice House, 22579 Old US 20 E., Elkhart, IN 46516; or to the Humane Society, 2506 Grape Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
