BANGOR - Edward Vojtko, 77, of Bangor passed away Monday, March 18, 2002, at South Haven Community Hospital. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. at Bangor Chapel, D.L. Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bangor, with Father Thomas E. Seidel, CSC, officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Hill Cemetery, Bangor. Mr. Vojtko was born May 7, 1924, in Chicago, to Stefan and Julia (Maga) Vojtko. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had lived in the Bangor area for about 60 years, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 160. Survivors include: his wife, Alice (Nennich), whom he married June 2, 1956, in Bangor; five children - Stephan (Marie) Vojtko of New Carlisle, Ind., Julie (Ronald) Quinn of South Haven, John (Rebecca) Vojtko of St. Joseph, Susan (Robert) Bennett of St. Ignace, Mich., and Linda Vojtko (Jeff Hoffman) of Loves Park, Ill.; 11 grandchildren - Jennifer, Katherine, Vincent, Andrew, Joseph, Christopher, Mary Vojtko, Onaca Bennett, Alan Patrick, Phillip Quinn; a sister Sue Biel of Whiting, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters - Marie, Ann, Pauline and Betty.
