SOUTH BEND, IN - Marilyn J. Sailer, 66, of McAllen, TX and formerly of South Bend, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Mission Regional Medical Center. Marilyn was born May 20, 1952 in South Bend, IN to the late Arthur and Hattie (Mrozinski) Steinbrunner. Marilyn was also preceded in death by brother, David Steinbrunner. On October 17, 1970, in South Bend, Marilyn married the love of her life, John Sailer, who survives along with their sons, Johnnie (Gracie) Sailer of McAllen, TX and Adam Sailer of Dallas, GA; sisters, Pat (Jim) Thomas of McAllen, TX and Betty (Ron) Hosinski of South Bend; sister-in-law, Judy Sailer of South Bend; grandchildren, Christian, Trinity, Bonnie, Audrey, Cassandra, Rebecca, Tamara, Kenya, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Noel, Sophia, Katy, Bryssa, Evan, Nataly, Nayeli, and Vincent; and 3 “furry girls,” Suzy, Icicle, and Panda. Marilyn loved music and animals. She was an avid reader and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved her family. Visitation for Marilyn will be 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Ceremony following at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66678-8517.
