Darlene Kizer, 90, passed away on Saturday July 25, 2015 in Morningside Care South Bend. Darlene was born on September 9, 1924 in Chesaning, Michigan as the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Reiber) Maike. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Irene, Catherine, Lucille, Dorothy, Francis, Kathleen, Bernard, Clifford, Kenneth, Donald, Charles, and Robert. Darlene was the last of her family surviving. On August 3, 1974 in Mishawaka as Darlene Fox she married Norman Kizer he survives along with two sons Arthur (Nina) Fox of Hernado, FL and Joseph (Sandy) Fox of Lacanto, FL. Two daughters Diana Brooks (James Reed) of Cassopolis, MI and Pamela (Victor) Tavares of Norcross, GA, Step son Robert ( Melinda) Kizer of Fishers, IN 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was a proud homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother she was always known for her friendliness and smile, she was a member of Bk Club and the De Amici’s club in Mishawaka. The family wishes to thank Morningside Nursing and Memory Care Center and Heart to Heart Hospice in Mishawaka for the kind and loving care given to Darlene during her illness. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 29, from 11:00- 1:00 pm in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm in the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Osceola.
