Obituary of Mrs. Jennie Chmiel Osniak, 76, of Painter St. Everson. She died Sunday. Was born May 24, 1899, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Chmiel. She was the last surviving member of her family. Her husband John died in 1972, Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Marie) Busko of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Joseph (Bernadine) Szaflarski of Everson and Miss Alice Osniak at home; 2 sons, William Osniak of Everson and Arthur Osniak at home. She was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church of Everson.

The Daily Courier, Wednesday, March 27, 1935
The funeral for Andrew Chmiel of Everson who died Monday at his home, will be held tomorrow morning with requiem high mass at 9:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be made at the church cemetery. It had been planned to conduct the funeral today but upon receipt of word that a relative was coming from a distance, it was decided to defer the burial. Mr. Chmiel was a retired carpenter.

Mrs. Josephine Chmiel, 82 years old died Monday at her home at the corner of Vine and Painter Streets, Everson. She is survived by a sister Mrs. Verna Martinoski of Owensdale. The funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday at St. Joseph's Church at Everson. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bronislawa E. Wojciechowska, age 55, died that morning at her home in Everson. Survived by her husband John, daughter Cecilia, son John B., her mother, Josephine Chmiel, of Everson, one sister, Mrs. John Martynowski of Everson and two brothers, Joseph and William of Niles Mich. Burial was in S. Joseph's church cemetery.

Notice of death of Mrs. John (Victoria) Ruthowski. Besides her husband John and children, John and Andrew of Cleveland, Mrs. Anna Prucheck of Cardale, Joseph, Theodore, Martha, Leonard,Emily and Edward at home she was also survived by her father Joseph Chmiel, age 95. Burial was in Transfigration Cemetery (Mt. Pleasant).

The Daily Courier, St Nov 10, 1951 Mrs. Josephine Chmiel, 87, of Everson died at her home Friday evening. She was born in Poland, Mar 14, 1864 settling in Everson 60 years before. Her husband John died Dec 13, 1926. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. (John)Jennie Martinowski and two sons, Joseph and William of Niles Michigan.Interment was in the church cemetery.

I found a WWI draft card that seems to tie into this family.
