Frances V. Banasiewicz
July 22, 1918 - March 5, 2002

Frances V. Banasiewicz, 83, of Pear Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, in Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, Ind. She was born July 22, 1918, in Salamanca, N.Y., and was the daughter of John and Mary Ann (Dyszkiewicz) Losicki. On May 7, 1938, Frances married Marion J. Banasiewicz Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1982. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry J. Losicki. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Wozniak of South Bend; one son, Marion (Connie) Banasiewicz Jr. of South Bend; two sisters, Virginia (Mike) Nowaczewski of South Bend and Evelyn Chudzicki of Fairhope, Ala.; and by a brother, Irvin (Ilene) Losicki of Mishawaka, Ind. Frances was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 357 Auxiliary. Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where there will be a Rosary said at 4 p.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
