SOUTH BEND - Guiseppe Galea, 92, of Franklin Street, passed away at 5:12 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Galea was a retired construction worker. He was born on Nov. 11, 1905, in Siderno Marina, Italy, and had lived in South Bend, Ind., since 1978. In 1929, in Italy, Guiseppe married Maria Crupi, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Immaculate Macri and Rosa Sgambelluri, both of South Bend; a son, Agostino Galea of South Bend; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan of Italy; and by a brother, Eugene of Italy. Mr. Galea also has family located in Toronto, Italy, New York and Australia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
