A. Shari Myszak, 88 years old, passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Hospice House, South Bend. Shari was born on January 24, 1928 in Jasonville, IN to the late S.P. and Norah (Barley) Holland. She has lived in South Bend since she was six years old. On October 2, 1943 in South Bend, she was united in marriage to Bill Myszak, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 27, 1995.Shari is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill D. and Judy Myszak, Jr. of South Bend; two grandchildren, Greg (Tara) Myszak of Mishawaka and Aimee (Nate) Bachtel of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Miranda, Jenna, Joshua, Owen, Leah, and Hallie; sister, Marsha (Lee) Bennett of South Bend; brother, Farrell (Pat) Holland of Mishawaka; and sister-in-law, Dianna Holland of South Bend. Shari was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight Holland, on January 26, 2016. Shari was employed with ABF Trucking for over 20 years in secretarial. She has been a longtime member of Calvary Temple Church and Southgate Church. Shari enjoyed singing and traveling. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Jeff Kennedy, pastor of Southgate Church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of A. Shari Myszak may be donated to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
