SOUTH BEND - Lillian Rose Lechtanski, 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep June 10, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born September 3, 1930, to the late Stanley and Virginia (Nowak) Robaska. On September 9, 1949, Lillian married Stephen Richard Lechtanski. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2007, as well as her oldest son, Richard Lechtanski, on August 14, 1995. Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Robert Lechtanski of South Bend and Russell Lechtanski of Chicago, and Russell's son, Tyler, 27, of Columbus, Ohio. Lillian was a loving wife and mother and a devout Catholic. She enjoyed life, including bowling, fishing, golfing, gardening, and the casino. She always had a smile and she always made you smile! She is at peace. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Road, South Bend, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Service of South Bend or to the Alzheimer's Association .
