John Peter Stachowski, 68, of 517 E Irvington Ave., died at 1:10pm Thursday in St Joseph’s Hospital. He was a retired Singer Manufacturing Co. employee. Born December 1, 1894, in Morris Run PA, he married Stella Przybyla in Niles MI, in 1928. She survives with three sons, John Jr. and Joseph, both of South Bend, and Edward, Honeybrook PA; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Schrock, South Bend, and six grandchildren. Friends may call after 6:30pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30am Saturday in the funeral home with Rt Rev. Msgr Arnold J. Wibbert, rector of St Matthew’s Co-Cathedral, officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clement Stachowski, Frank and Eugene Wieczorek, Lucian Slott, Joseph Nadolski and Chester Wituski.
