SOUTH BEND - Lorraine L. Wensits, 87, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. She was born on August 30, 1925, to the late John and Lottie (Sopczynski) Cwidak in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. On May 10, 1947, as Lorraine L. Cwidak, she married Joseph M. Wensits in South Bend, IN. He died on March 18, 2001. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert and Norman Cwidak. Mrs. Wensits worked as an assembler at South Bend Toy for 19 years and then as a Security Screener for South Bend Regional Airport for 13 years. She is survived by her four daughters, Marlene Brown of Niles, MI, Janelle (John) Mihay of South Bend, IN, Kristine (Scott) Mitchell of North Liberty, IN, and Rebecca (David) Thibodeaux of Mishawaka, IN; her son, Bruce Wensits of North Liberty, IN; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Tyler Thibodeaux. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish, 8th Grade Class Lunch Bunch, '47 Club, and various other church organizations. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN, with Rev. Michael Mathews, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, P.O.
