SOUTH BEND - Florian H. Moskwinski, 85, of South Bend passed away on Sunday February 1, 2015, in his home. He was born on July 11, 1929, in South Bend, to the late Henry and Martha (Jeziorski) Moskwinski. On May 17, 1958 he married Rita J. Przybysz, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Susan (Duane) Wachowiak and Christine (Fred) Cencelewski, both of South Bend; his son, Michael (Diane) Moskwinski of South Bend; five grandchildren, Angela (Michael) McCann of Hayes, VA, Brittany Cencelewski, Sara (Caleb) Roberts, Jenna and Trent Moskwinski, all of South Bend; four great-grandchildren, Kinsey, Jackson and Declan McCann and Zoey Roberts; a sister, Theresa Moskwinski; and a brother, Chester Moskwinski, both of South Bend. Florian retired from the South Bend Medical Foundation in July 1994, after working as a histology technician for 39 years. He also worked a part time job at the University of Notre Dame. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, South Bend. Florian's life was devoted to his wife and children, the addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought so much joy to his life. His love was unconditional and always offered help to his children. He put everybody's needs before his own. He enjoyed gardening. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday February 4, 2015 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday February 5, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, 56405 Mayflower Road South Bend or Southern Care Hospice, 1626 E. Day Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
