Oral History from Evelyn Slisz Piechorowski:
Granma talks about how Casper had difficulty showing affection (could be because of being abandoned by the second wife and Father) but the kids could get him to do most anything when he had the money by soft soaping/coplimenting him (Did'nt Get That from his father) ....HE LOVED THROUGH THINGS AND ACTIONS....
Oral History from James Piechorowski:
I remembered when I was very little he made me a "BAG full of Wooden Blocks" and Carried me on his Shoulders ..He was a BIG 6 ft plus man and with his dark hair and bushy eyebrows he was scary...he intimidated me but I never sensed that he would hurt me ....
He taught Dad (Frank A. Piechorowski) how to hunt and fish (in those days for food not sport).... Casper worked at WHITE FARM (Oliver Corporation) for 25 years...so did my dad (35 yrs) and I worked there one summer!!!
We all worked for a time ...on the same Machine "A HOT HAMMER" and I mean the same one ... this was the one that the Die flew out and hit Granpa (Frank A.) in the knee in 1938/39 which started his knee problem ....when I worked on it every "FIVE HITS...You had to take a sledge hammer and beat the Die Keys in or it would come out and hit you."
