Constance B. Loer
June 3, 1926 - July 30, 2009

SOUTH BEND - Constance B. "Connie" Loer, 83, of Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation, 1121 E. LaSalle Ave., formerly of Akron, died at 2:20 p.m. July 30th in the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, South Bend. She was born on June 3, 1926, in Madrid, MO, to the late David and Gracie Irene (Irvin) Redd. On September 3, 1941, in Huntington, IN, she married John Charles Loer, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1964. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Redd. She graduated from Swayzee High School in 1942, moved to Burket from Kokomo in 1958, and lived in the Kosciusko County area most of her life. She worked at Penguin Point in Warsaw as a night supervisor for over 20 years, and worked at DePuy in the shipping department for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. She was a 4-H leader for several years, and baked wedding cakes for people. Survivors include her children, Bernard (Liz) Loer of Kokomo, John "JR" (Donna) Loer of Warsaw and Brenda (Mike) Zarembka of Granger; six grandchildren, Jeff Loer, Terry Loer, Stacy Loer, Brandon Loer, Jennifer (Zarembka) Anderson and Marcus Zarembka; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Earl-Love Funeral Home, with Rev. Wanda Carter officiating. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, IN. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 2nd, in the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care or to the Alzheimer's Association . Arrangements are by the Earl-Love Funeral Home, Akron.
