Branko J. Samarich, 62, of 1120 N. College St., was found dead in his residence at 2am today of an apparent heart attack. He was a supervisor of the South Bend Street Dept., where he had been employed 18 years. He was born on June 20, 1910, in Nevesinje, Hercegovina, Yugoslavia, and came here 33 years ago from there. On February 18, 1940, in South Bend, he married Doris Vaskovich, who survives, along with two sons, John of South Bend and Millard, at home; three daughters, Miss Millicent (Mitzi) Samarich at home, Mrs Judith DeDonato and Mrs Sally Sprong, both of South Bend, and five grandchildren. Friends may call form 7 to 9pm today and 10am to 9pm Wednesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where prayer services will be held at 98pm today and Wednesday. Services will be conducted at 1pm Thursday at St Peter and St Paul Serbian Orthodox Church by Rev. George Vuckovich, pastor. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Samarich was a member of the church and the Serbian Church Club. SBT 1/2/1953
