SOUTH BEND - Barbara M. Buda, 93, of Lisle, IL (formerly of South Bend) passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Villa St. Benedict in Lisle. She was born on October 25, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Louis and Lottie (Michalski) Jankowski. On October 3, 1941, as Barbara M. Jankowski, she married Walter J. Buda, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2003. Barbara is survived by her sons, Thomas (Darlene) Buda of Naperville, IL and Michael (Linda) Buda of Michigan City, IN; eight grandchildren, Tom (Kris) Buda, Jr., Tammy (Dan) Mueller, Tim (Rachel) Buda, Terri Buda (Mike) Frieders, Jennifer Grott, Michele (Chuck) Lane, Cari (Gary) Roberts and Stacy (Ryan) Martin; fifteen great-grandchildren, Karsen, Ryleigh, McKenzie, Katelyn, Brody, Jaxson, Brady, Logan, Miles, John Thomas, Luke, Joshua, Mazie, Matthew and Evelyn; and by a sister, Esther Voelker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Friday August 21, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 IN 933, South Bend, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the Mass.
