Daisy Mae Pogotis

Mrs. Daisy Mae Pogotis, 80, of 821 Portage Ave., died at 2 a.m. Sunday in Osteopathic Hospital after an illness of several months. She was born in Edinburg, Ind., on April 27, 1885. She had lived in South Bend for 50 years. In 1927 she was married to James Pogotis, who died on Sept. 25, 1955. She is survived by two sons, Morgan Barkes of Niles and Patrick Barkes Carney of Fort Bragg, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Stuckey of South Bend and Mrs. Frances Ishmel, of French Camp, Calif.; a stepson, Kosmas Pogotis, of South Bend; three sisters, Mrs. Quincey Helm of Parker, Ind., and Mrs. Lovey Williams and Mrs. Goldie Pissell, both of LaPorte; and a brother, Walter Jones of Wilberton, Okla. Friends may call at the Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Services will there at 3 p.m. Tuesday with Rev.
