MISHAWAKA - James H. Romine, 67, passed away at 10:04 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010, in Memorial Hospital. James was born on December 7, 1943, in South Bend, to the late William E. and Grace (Curl) Romine. On August 15, 1970, he married Barbarann (Siatkowski), his loving wife of almost 40 years, who passed away on January 21, 2010. James was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert. James is survived by two daughters, Jami Romine (Mike Draper) of Mississippi and Jodi Romine of Mishawaka, and his beloved dog, a cocker spaniel named Libby. James worked at AM General for 32 years before retiring. He loved to build model cars and street rods. His favorite place to visit in the summertime was Eagle Lake where, in his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and boating. Up till recently, James would take his family there to recall those memories. He loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, December 19, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. MAYFLOWER ROAD. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
