SOUTH BEND, IN - Roger E. DeMeyer, a long-time resident of South Bend passed away on Friday, February 5 in Olney, IL at the age of 93. Roger was born in Mishawaka, IN on June 25, 1927 to Camiel V. DeMeyer and Marie (Van Rentereham) DeMeyer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bette (Steffey) DeMeyer on September 3, 2011. Surviving is his sister, Dorothea (DeMeyer) Andreae of Mishawaka, IN; his daughter, Deborah (DeMeyer) Kearney and her husband Robert Kearney of Lookout, WV; and his son, Michael C. DeMeyer and his wife Nancy (Nelson) DeMeyer of Olney, IL. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kearney) Campbell and her husband Matthew Campbell of Oak Hill, WV, Robert Kearney lll of Cornelius, NC, Nathan DeMeyer and Michael DeMeyer of Olney, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Magnolia Campbell and Emmeline Campbell of Oak Hill, WV.
