Adell Cecilia Radecki

SOUTH BEND - Adell C. Radecki, 96, co-founder and manager of Radecki Galleries Inc. passed away Monday, August 17, 2015, in her home surrounded by her family. Adell was born November 18, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Michalina (Zawisza) Michalski. On May 10, 1941, in South Bend, Adell married Roman Radecki, who preceded her in death on December 27, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Dobrucki. Survivors of Adell include her children, Monica Radecki, Michael (Melissa) Radecki, Ronald (Kay) Radecki, Martin (Deborah) Radecki, Allana (Jeffrey) Radecki; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Dennis Dobrucki. Adell retired at the age of 90 from Radecki Galleries Inc. She and her husband, Roman, opened the Gallery in 1958 at 529 Lincoln Way West, then in 1964 relocated to 721 E. Jefferson Blvd. Adell was a great business woman who always seemed to know what her customers wanted. She had a great sense of color and style. Adell was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Church and was a devout Catholic. She also was a member of the Golden Cluster. Her family and business were her life. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, August 21, 2015, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday, August 22, 2015, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of South Bend for all their care and compassion.
