SOUTH BEND -- Mary Van Autreve, 98, of St. Joseph's Care Center-West, died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday at the nursing home. Mrs. Van Autreve was born Jan. 16, 1894, in Belgium, and lived in South Bend since 1910, coming from Belgium. On April 29, 1914, in South Bend, as Mary Coene, she married Flor Van Autreve. He died March 15, 1980. She is survived by two granddaughters, Patricia Van Autreve and Marcia Sipocz, both of South Bend; and two great granddaughters. Two sons preceded her in death. August died in 1982 and Henry died in 1952. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hahn-DeVos Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Monday, Feb. 3, 1992.
