David Eri Samarich, 30 years old, residing in South Bend, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home. He was born May 21, 1980 in South Bend, the son of Millard & Cheryl Ann (Vitou) Samarich, and has remained a lifelong resident. He graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School. He worked for several years growing up and through high school at his parent’s store, A-Appliance Sales & Service, but he really loved his last job learning to be a machinist at Damon Products, Co. Surviving David is his beautiful baby daughter, Angela Marie Ann Samarich, and her mother, Michelle Binder. His father, Millard Samarich, sister, Angela Ann Samarich, both of South Bend, his special aunt and godmother, Mitzi Rickhoff, close uncle and aunt, Barry & Cindy Vitou, aunts, Sally Spong, Judith DeDonato, Carol (Dave) Woznick, uncles John (Jill) Samarich, and Mike (Barbara) Vitou, along with many cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Vitou Samarich on February 18, 2003, his maternal grandparents, Arthur & Dona Vitou, and paternal grandmother, Doris Samarich. David enjoyed Notre Dame football along with following the Miami Hurricanes. He couldn’t wait for the fall to come. He also enjoyed the solitude of fishing, music, and his chevy box caprices. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral Home.Contributions in memory of David may be offered to Palmer Funeral Home, to assist the family with expenses.
