Mishawaka-Angela Mary Tydgat, 90, passed away Wednesday evening, May 23 in Hospice House, South Bend. Angela was born on October 25, 1921 in Mishawaka to Bartolomeow and Maria (Chiarappa) Spart (Manosperta).On July 10, 1937 in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka as the former Angela Spart she married Omer A. Tydgat who preceded her in death on June 30, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Mary Lehman and her brother, Louis Spart and many family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Lynda (Joe) Bathje of Mishawaka; son, David (Mary) Tydgat of Mishawaka. She is also survived by her three grandchildren who she adored, Stephanie (Gary) Berch of Granger, Julie (Nick) Fisette of South Lyon, MI and Kathryn (K.C.) Tydgat of Arlington, VA and by five great grandchildren, Bailey, Mackenzie and Gabriella Fisette and Nathaniel and Victoria Berch and by two sisters, Anne Claeys of Osceola and Rita Esarey of Mishawaka and several nieces and nephews. Angie enjoyed crocheting and her lovely work cradled her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren in baptism. Memories of family and friends sharing summers in Michigan at Twin Lakes and then later at Lake of the Woods would bring a smile to her face-a reflection of the happiest of times. Visitation will be on Friday, May 25 from 3 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 26 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Kevin Bauman will be officiating. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Mishawaka.
